The McCain You Don't Know

I blog every day about John McCain and why I think Moms should vote for him. Today I am cross-posting at Politics 4 Moms, a nonpartisan site dedicated to facts, news, links and useful non-bitter stuff - go check it out!
-----
'The Man Inside the Suit'

You know McCain is Republican (insert applause or sneers here). You may NOT know that McCain has been endorsed by both prominent Democrats and conservative Republicans (Fred Thompson, Sam Brownback, Gary Bauer, to name a few). You may NOT know that in the Senate McCain actually *got things done* working with Democrats, passing key legislation, including campaign finance reform and climate change.

You know that John McCain served with distinction in the navy, including a 5 1/2-year stint as a prisoner of war. You may NOT know that due to his father's high military rank, he had the chance to go home early - and didn't take it, out of loyalty to his fellow servicemen and his commitment to his country.

You know that McCain is married to Cindy, a former teacher and active philanthropist. You may NOT know that sons Jimmy and Jack are currently active-duty military, and Jimmy was actually *in Iraq* in 2007, during a rocky period for the McCain campaign. You may not know that daughter Meghan has a great blog with behind-the-scenes photos. And you may not know that Cindy McCain brought home daughter Bridget from Mother Teresa's orphanage in Bangladesh for life-saving medical care - and a very surprised Senator McCain welcomed them and adopted Bridget within the week.

You know that the media has given more attention to Obama and Clinton, perhaps because of the historic nature of the primary, perhaps because of barriers breaking, perhaps because they just like them better. You may NOT know that McCain has thriving online and grassroots support, and that outreach to women and Moms is growing every day.

Come join the discussion and learn more about John McCain: a leader America can believe in.

I can't understand why more people can't see it. McCain is the Frog Boiler!

What do I mean? There is an old allegory about how to boil a frog. It is said that if you drop a frog into a pot of boiling water it will immediately jump out.

But if you drop a frog in water that is slightly warm and turn up the heat gradually then the frog just sits there and lets itself be boiled alive, without attempting to jump out of the pot, without even knowing that it is indeed being boiled alive.

This allegory has been applied again, and again regarding the American people's reaction to liberalism/socialism. And it is pretty clear who is who if you apply this allegory to this year's election.

SO, let's vote for the one who will make the frog jump and not the one who will get the frog boiled so that we can get a true conservative in 2012.

After all it took Carter to get us Reagan.

The truth is that Obama will be elected. If not him, someone as radical if not worse.

What do I mean? Look at who the Democrats have chosen over the years for their presidential nominee. Win or lose, the candidate the next time around has gotten progressively (pun intended) worse. Each Presidential election the Democratic candidate is more Leftist than the election before.

So say somehow McCain does win this year. In four years from now the candidate the Democrat will put up might not be Obama but he or she will be as liberal as Obama if not more liberal.

And by that time the economy will be so bad that the Democrats could put up Lenin and he would win.

So, the only question is would it be better to go through the pain of such a Presidency as Obama's sooner, or later?

Given that whichever party wins the Presidency will be forever tarnished by the bad economy that is ahead of us, I would say it is better that Obama wins so we can gather our strength and focus on 2012 which is sure to be a Republican year.

It will be a Republican year if Obama wins this year, otherwise all that you fear about Obama will come to pass. It will just come to past four years later.

"has been endorsed by both prominent Democrats..."

Why would prominent Democrats do that?

Unless they think that McCain will support their socialist agenda.

Perhaps they want a place in a McCain administration. No, I am not joking as even in Bush's administration he had a Democrat as Secretary of Transportation.

McCain himself wanted to be Kerry's running mate in 2004.

I think it is clear to most rational people that a man who
**chose to stay** in war prison for 1,964 days has the perseverance and character to do just about anything.

People who claim they can snooze through 4 years of Obama need to remember - a. Obama would likely serve 8 years and b. during which time he will preside over multiple wars, appoint judges who would serve for decades, and potentially cost millions of dollars and millions of lives. If that doesn't matter to you, you should seriously rethink the 'values' you claim to hold dear.

I started this blog because I was not willing to kiss my country goodbye. I am saddened when others voluntarily do the same.

And, BTW, in his early career Reagan was far more liberal than McCain.

What you may not know is that McCain has a terrible voting record on veteran's issues and that because of him veterans group have to work twice as hard to pass veteran friendly legislation. In fact all the major vet groups rate him below standard and far lower than Barack Obama.

Since the blog author does not seem open to truthful and open cosnideration of the candidates I won't be surprised if this comment is not approved. I feel sorry for you closed minded people.

Jean, Hillary Clinton said of McCain: "I have a lifetime of experience. John McCain has a lifetime of experience. Barack Obama has a speech he gave in 2002." Prepare to see that on commercials. Bill Clinton said of McCain: "He has given everything he possibly could to his country -- except his life." Yet we get some Dimmiecrats who are dumb as doorknobs. Like most Obama supporters, they truly despise their own country, just the angry Black woman, Michelle Obama, does. Michelle is the poster girl for Affirmative Action, yet she -- with her $300,000 a year salary for being pretty -- doesn't like America, "a mean place as she calls it." Most of Obama's supporters are either wealthy investment bankers or Moveon.org types whose motto is: "Screw America." Obama is of course the guy who came up with the brilliant ideas that he would "reinvade Iraq." You have the YouTube video where he said it. Please stick it down the craws of your critics.

Decent American people will vote for McCain. The others will vote for Obama. I hope all of them, including BO, promise to emigrate to Kenya if he loses, as he will.

Why are all the anti-McCain comments being made by anonymous accounts? I say they are cowards to not leave who they are. I support McCain. This is a blog about MCCAIN, therefore the subject matter will revolve around..ut-oh big shocker coming...that's right McCain! Ever heard of reading a title to interpret content? I guess not!
I find Michelle Obama offensive. I find Obama plan to raise taxes in every category to be not a good way to stimulate our economy. I further find it offensive that the media's main point against McCain and subject to their polls is if McCain's age effects anyone voting for him. Are they seriously asking people this...yes they are! Lame!
Obama is not the answer to what this country needs in a president! I live in Illinois. I have seen what Obama is all about! No one will ever sway me to vote for Obama no matter how much Democratic rhetoric and spin is thrown at me!
Next time you want to protest the war instead of supporting our troops, democrats, why don't you think about how both Hillary AND Obama were in favor of starting the War!!
I have a cousin serving in Iraq who just received a CIB medal for surviving combat. He watched his unit get hit and his best friend die. He did it like the other honorable men and women in the military have done before him, which includes McCain, to preserve and protect freedom. My cousin and other Americans are giving their lives everyday! Show respect not only for them, but for Veterans. I cannot believe that finding out McCain is a war veteran that was in a prison camp during the war is denograted by some Democrats. Where was Obama? Was he dancing on Ellen or writing a book to talk about on Oprah?
Furthermore, I cannot believe someone actually suggested that McCain winning the presidentcy will encourage Americans to vote for anyone as long as they are democrat including someone like Lenin! As if Obama's tax hikes are the answer to give American relief from financial woes. Has any democrat actually spoken to someone that lives in a country that has universal healthcare plans like Obama proposes? I have! Not a so wonderful as the democrats would like you to believe. Will Obama be refused treatment-"treat and street" because your little pneumonia is not as bad as another man's heart attack and they need your bed for him. All I ask is do some research before you decide Obama is the one for you. The owner of this blog has put together amazing things to educate the public on McCain. Read it, educate yourself, then make the best possible choice in your president...McCain.
